Job summary

Phase To Phase seeks a seasoned Commissioning Engineer to lead on-site substation projects across the Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Maryland corridor. You will own testing, calibration, and energization activities, interfacing with customers and vendors to ensure safe, compliant execution.

The role demands 7+ years in utility Transmission Protection & Control, 69kV+ experience, travel up to 90%, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills, with a Bachelor or AS

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate of Science in Electro-Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited school/university.
• 7+ years of utility Transmission Protection & Control experience, including brownfield sites with panel/equipment checkout, relay calibration, testing and repairing substation relaying.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site at substation projects from start to finish.
• Interface with customers and vendors to coordinate activities.
• Read and interpret control prints, wiring diagrams, and relaying schematics.
• Perform safe field testing and commissioning of relays and protection equipment.
• Develop energization plans and coordinate SCADA checkout.
• Schedule and coordinate clearance and isolation of protection equipment.
