Qualifications

• Experience working with credit-challenged automotive customers.
• Strong automotive sales background, including subprime or special finance.
• Understanding of credit reports, credit tiers, debt-to-income, loan-to-value, down payments, and lender requirements.
• Excellent phone, text, email, and in-person communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex financials professionally and tactfully.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers who have challenged, rebuilding, or limited credit.
• Interview customers to assess income, employment, down payment, trade, credit history, and vehicle needs.
• Explain financing and purchasing processes clearly, without guaranteeing approvals or terms.
• Set expectations and stay engaged with customers throughout the process.
• Identify vehicles and deal structures compatible with customer circumstances and lending programs.
• Collaborate with Sales and Finance Managers to assemble accurate deal information.
• Maintain follow-up with customers not ready to purchase.
• Build relationships with customers turned down elsewhere to provide a positive experience.
• Manage internet leads, calls, appointments, showroom traffic, and CRM entries.
• Keep notes, documentation, tasks, and history up to date.
• Develop repeat and referral business by acting as a trusted credit resource.
