Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Mechanical Electrical Engineer (Submarine Electrical Engineer) to provide senior technical expertise for U.S. Navy submarine systems from our Washington, D.C. location. You will monitor, evaluate, modify, and troubleshoot submarine systems and lead technical guidance for fleet issues.

This role supports Team Submarine with documentation, performance monitoring, and life cycle sustainment, collaborating with Navy and industry partners to ensure safety and mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Alternate credentials: Associate's + experience or HS diploma + experience.
• 5 years DoD/Armed Services or related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop/review PMP Operations manuals, PMS procedures, and System Health reports.
• Review engineering drawings on-site and provide recommendations.
• Develop briefs for decision makers with accurate information.
• Coordinate with Submarine programs, PMTs, and other offices for maintenance of ship systems.
• Prepare and deliver briefs to audiences up to the Flag level.
• Lead IPTs and support Ship Design/Engineering Authority activities.
• Oversee CBM and Reliability-Centered Maintenance practices.
