Job summary

Serco is seeking a Submarine Electrical Engineer in the Washington, D.C. area to deliver senior technical expertise for US Navy submarine systems. You will monitor, troubleshoot, evaluate, and guide maintenance and repair activities, ensuring system performance and safety for sailors.

You will influence program offices and shipyards, prepare briefings, and coordinate teams to sustain in-service submarines while advancing CBM/RCM practices and life-cycle processes.

Qualifications

• Requires US citizenship and an Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalents listed.
• 5 years of DoD/Armed Services experience or similar.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop/review operational and technical documentation (PMP, PMS, DFS, SEPM).
• Review engineering drawings and provide recommendations.
• Prepare briefs for audiences up to Flag level; coordinate IPTs.
• Provide technical authority for in-service submarine classes; oversee CBM/RCM practices.
• Plan and manage engineering development programs affecting system performance.
