Job summary

Serco is seeking a Submarine Control System Software and Certification Engineer in Washington, DC. You will support the Virginia Class program, managing software development and certification tasks for FBW SCS deliverables with DoD oversight and extensive coordination with Navy stakeholders.

The role requires active DoD clearance, US citizenship, and a strong engineering background in naval ship systems, with a track record in program management and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Active DoD security clearance is required or active only.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's or higher in engineering relevant to naval ship systems.

Responsibilities

• Support NEWCON SW development and certification activities for NEWCON Virginia Class Submarines.
• Oversee software development tasking and certification processes and ensure reviews comply with FBW SCS requirements.
• Maintain SOPs documenting routing, review, concurrence, approval, and authority for FBW SCS deliverables.
• Oversee software builds for NEWCON submarines and coordinate issue resolution and certification processes.
• Attend monthly SCS System Integration meetings and maintain certification evidence.
