Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a capable Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist (Level 4 or 5) to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA, Aurora, CO, Boulder, CO, Huntsville, AL, or Baltimore, MD. This role hinges on delivering expert subcontract management with a focus on CID processes, proposals, and awards.

The position requires strong experience in subcontracts or related fields, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field with 8+ years of experience or Master's with 6+ years.
• 4+ years of experience can substitute for degree.
• Experience with Subcontracts, Procurement, or Contracts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Provide subcontracting process and compliance guidance to junior specialists and teams.
• Coordinate content for Division Subcontracts Community of Excellence meetings.
• Train junior personnel in NG's PrOP.
• Serve as Division GSC focal point for audits and information requests.
• Perform independently with minimal oversight, contributing to long-range goals.
• Provide SME in CID processes and support CID packages.
• Support subcontract management across supplier relationships.
• Prepare bid packages, conduct bidder conferences, evaluate proposals, negotiate, and issue awards.
• Develop subcontract specs, statements of work, and terms for procurements.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and manage risk through negotiations.
