Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Manager, Subcontracts Management in Buffalo, NY, with hybrid work options. The role leads major subcontracts for Moog Space and Defense Group, including sourcing, RFPs, and EVM oversight on development and production programs.

The ideal candidate has strong government contracting experience, advanced negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a team of 2–5 while coordinating with customers and internal stakeholders. Travel and on-site collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in Supply Chain/ Subcontracts/ Contracts or related field.
• Experience with Government Contracting (FAR, DFARS, ITAR) and SDRL management.
• Experience across multiple contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, T&M).
• Proven leadership and strong communication in a matrix organization.
• Ability to access U.S. export‑controlled information (EAR, ITAR).
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify domestic/international sources for major subassemblies and components.
• Prepare RFPs with program, QA, and contractual flow‑downs.
• Lead negotiations to achieve fair outcomes while mitigating risk and cost.
• Manage subcontracts cradle to grave and monitor cost/schedule/technical performance.
• Lead supplier reviews and coordinate with customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with CPSR/ public law and company policies.
