Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a Subcontract Program Manager to lead subordinate teams and oversee subcontractors across programs, ensuring compliance with requirements, policies, and cost, schedule, and technical performance targets.

You will direct all phases from the business case for make or buy decisions through RFPs, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing subcontract‑oriented programs or projects with budget, schedule, and performance metrics.
• Experience supervising or leading a team of associate managers, supervisors, or exempt professionals.
• Proven ability to communicate with internal stakeholders, external customers, and cross‑functional peers.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and formulate actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans addressing capture needs, execution, and risk management.
• Act as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office.
• Make informed decisions affecting subcontract performance.
• Establish milestone objectives to manage performance to schedules and contractual specs.
• Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, quality, and procurement to ensure subcontract execution.
• Direct all phases of the subcontract from business case to make/buy decisions, RFPs, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout.
