Job summary

Responsibilities include laying out parts, handling tools and operating overhead cranes, with attention to defect-free assemblies and timely production. Requires 1–3 years of experience and AWS 1-G certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a technical welding program with 1–3 years of related experience.
• AWS 1-G certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience with overhead cranes preferred (2–5 years).
• Strong ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Weld metal components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
• Lay out, position, align and secure parts before assembly.
• Finish surfaces and re-touch welds by grinding.
• Inspect finished welds for conformance to specs.
• Operate hand and power welding tools and overhead cranes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
