Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Welder II to join our shop team. You will perform GTAW (pulsed and standard) and FCAW on valves and piping, including overlay and manual pipe welding.

The ideal candidate will be able to pass a 6G test and X-ray on ½”-6” pipe in an air-conditioned shop with multiple shifts. Requirements include a high school diploma (technical courses preferred) and at least 5 years of welding, cutting and brazing experience.

Qualifications

• High school degree required; technical courses preferred.
• Certified Welder or ability to become certified within first six months of employment.
• Minimum of 5 years welding, cutting, brazing experience.
• Minimum of 5 years using the compact cladders (ARC 5, Fronius).

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on valves and piping with GTAW/FCAW processes.
• Overlay and manual pipe welding as required.
• Read weld procedures and follow weld drawings.
• Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Perform welding (GTAW-Pulsed, GTAW-Hot Wire, GTAW, FCAW) on valves and piping. Overlay and manual pipe welding abilities required. Level II Manual Pipe Welding pass GTAW, FCAW processes and be able to pass 6G test and X-ray on ½”-6” Pipe. Airconditioned shop with multiple shifts available.

Skills & Abilities
