Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Higher Education, International Education, or related field preferred.
• Experience in study abroad advising, program administration, or international education.
• High level of interest in experiential and global learning.
• Effective project management skills and ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and oral communication with diverse audiences.
• Flexibility, dependability, and a calm, professional demeanor.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and mentor peers.
• Competence with Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and study abroad management software/databases.
• Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events/outreach.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of study abroad programs.
• Advise and support students through all phases of study abroad; from selection to return.
• Maintain knowledge of programs, locations, partners, and academic requirements.
• Review applications and supporting documentation; coordinate program administration and records.
• Handle complex advising cases and refer to leadership as needed.
• Maintain communications with students, faculty, providers, and international partners.
• Coordinate Maymester recruitment, applications, enrollment, faculty coordination, and partner communication.
• Oversee Maymester pre-departure housing, travel, payments, and logistics.
• Lead orientations, outreach, and office projects; represent the office at events.
