Zusammenfassung

Glydways is seeking a Product Design / Studio Engineer to join our Vehicle Engineering team. You will bridge Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering, translating concepts into robust, engineering-ready architectures for our autonomous vehicle fleet.

You will partner with Industrial Designers, UX Researchers, and cross-functional engineers to sculpt the interior and exterior of our transit system, from class‑A surfacing to high-volume manufacturing bring‑up.

Qualifikationen

• 5–10+ years of PDE/Studio Engineer or Mechanical Engineer experience
• Portfolio showing complex physical architecture and high-density integration
• Proven CAD mastery: Class-A surfaces and master-modeling in NX/Creo/SolidWorks
• Ability to navigate electro-mechanical systems and deliver refined design
• Manufacturing fluency: GD&T, mass-production processes like injection molding and casting
• Strong collaboration across design and engineering teams; startup-ready

Aufgaben

• Champion design with mechanical engineering rigor and make informed tradeoffs
• Protect cosmetic/ergonomic vision while ensuring structural viability
• Own physical vehicle architecture including components and packaging
• Lead high-quality CAD and surface work and maintain single source of truth
• Prototype and validate concepts with quick-turn fabrication
• Design for high-volume manufacturability across processes
• Collaborate with external vendors for tooling and assembly phases
• Establish design standards and tolerance guidelines
