Job summary

General Motors Company in Warren, MI seeks a Senior Studio Design Quality Engineer to ensure craftsmanship and production readiness across interior and exterior design.

You will partner with Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing to translate creative concepts into technically feasible solutions while applying DFSS methodologies and advanced CAD NX tools.

Hybrid work arrangement with on-site collaboration and relocation benefits available.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in automotive design or engineering.
Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Experience with design-for-manufacturing and quality processes.
Familiarity with NX, Teamcenter, and engineering specifications.
DFSS Black Belt is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead design quality craftsmanship initiatives across vehicle programs.
Guide parting line and grain exceptions processes for assigned programs.
Lead benchmarking and continuous-improvement projects with best practices.
Collaborate with Design, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
Support engineering reviews and gate reviews, and issue resolution.
