Job summary

Ferrovial Construction JFK T1, LLC in New York seeks a Structures Design Manager to lead engineering design activities for bridges, buildings, and walls on a major civil infrastructure project.

You will supervise design teams, ensure designs meet codes, coordinate with stakeholders for contract execution on projects valued over $100 million, and contribute to construction-ready plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or related.
• 60 months experience overseeing structural design teams on large civil infrastructure projects valued at $100M+; design of buildings/bridges/retaining walls.
• Design and coordination with multiple engineering disciplines to meet technical requirements and schedules.
• Experience with Design‑Build or P3 contracts and creating baseline schedules, permits, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering design activities for bridges, retaining walls, buildings, and other structures.
• Review engineering information to ensure design meets technical requirements of large civil projects.
• Act as engineer of record for designs under supervision and ensure integration into construction plans.
• Estimate quantities and develop specs to determine project feasibility and enhancements.
• Supervise project work through planning, scheduling, review and site visits.
