Candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing structural design documents of facilities and bridge projects for compliance with applicable code and technical standards. The objective is to build and maintain a positive client relationship, and to achieve or exceed the estimated profit margin for the project.
Responsibilities
- Bridge Design projects for NYC Metro region clients
- Daily tasks include drawing development, coordination between disciplines, internal meetings, and structural design
- Development of structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for rehabilitation and new construction of roadway and highway bridges
- Perform site inspections and condition assessments of existing bridges and structures under construction
- Coordinate between various disciplines, development of contract drawings and specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
- Licensed NYS PE preferred
- Qualified for ASCE Grade IV and above
- Approximately 3–5 years of project engineering experience, from design development to opening, including at least one completed high‑profile bridge project
- Experience working in integrated teams
- Experience with complex analysis tools for structural design
- Experience and knowledge of NYSDOT Design standards, AASHTO, NYCDOT CADD specifications, etc.
