The role requires 5+ years in marine/industrial welding, proficiency in SMAW and FCAW, and the ability to work onsite with flexibility for long hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years welding experience in marine/industrial settings.
• Proficient in SMAW and FCAW welding methods.
• Able to read blueprints and technical drawings with accuracy.
• Knowledge of preheat, inter-pass temperature, and welding procedures.
• Capable of lifting heavy materials and working in hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding using SMAW, FCAW on steel, stainless, and aluminum.
• Prepare materials and surfaces, including cleaning and pre-heating as needed.
• Inspect welds visually and via nondestructive testing as required.
• Repair welds and perform routine welding equipment maintenance.
• Mentor crew members and collaborate across trades to meet timelines.
