Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years welding experience in a marine or shipyard setting or completion of a registered apprenticeship program.
• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques and a solid understanding of welding procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using SMAW and FCAW on steel and aluminum.
• Prepare materials and surfaces for welding and pre-heat as required.
• Ensure welds meet standards through inspection and testing.
