Job summary
Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Structural Senior Engineering Technician for Advanced Power Generation. The role focuses on design, analysis, and detailing of steel and foundation elements across multiple project sites, using OpenBuildings, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
You may mentor teammates and supervise technicians while maintaining quality and adherence to standards. The position supports a hybrid work model with extensive multidisciplinary collaboration and opportunities for career
Qualifications
- Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology required.
- Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor
- Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges
- Creates, modifies, and maintains technical drawings and documentation using CAD/BIM tools
- Provides guidance and training to other technicians
- Reviews project requirements and ensures design standards and codes
