Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Structural Staff Engineering Technician to support Advanced Power Generation projects, contributing to design, analysis, and detailing of structural components for complex facilities under general supervision.

The role uses AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley OpenBuildings, and Bluebeam; may guide other technicians. Hybrid or flexible work options are available after onboarding in a 100% ESOP-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Diploma or Certificate in Drafting or Engineering Design is preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Supports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables.
• Applies foundational engineering principles to create design concepts and solutions.
• Uses CAD/BIM tools to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation and drawings.
• May review deliverables for consistency and quality.
• May define work assignments and maintain schedules.
• May assist in field activities and site visits.
