Job summary

gpac is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing and material planning for multiple structural steel fabrication projects in Jacksonville, FL. You will connect estimating, detailing, project management, fabrication, and suppliers to streamline procurement from award to completion.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in steel fabrication procurement, expert Tekla PowerFab, and a track record with 1,000+ ton buyouts, strong negotiation, and supplier relationship skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication.
• 3+ years in procurement, purchasing, or materials management within structural steel.
• Expert-level experience with Tekla PowerFab (Tekla EPM).
• Experience purchasing for multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience managing large-scale steel buyouts (1,000+ tons).
• Knowledge of steel mills, service centers, and supply markets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities from project award through completion.
• Develop purchasing strategies.
• Issue and manage purchase orders.
• Coordinate mill-direct and service center purchasing.
• Negotiate pricing, freight, delivery schedules, and supplier agreements.
• Build and maintain strong supplier and mill relationships.
• Monitor steel market pricing and purchasing trends.
• Maintain accurate procurement data and reporting.
