Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to oversee projects from contract award through completion. You will manage fabrication and erection efforts, coordinate with customers, detailers, fabricators, erectors, and field teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in structural steel project management, strong skills in scheduling, budgeting, and communication, and proficiency with MS Office and PM software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing structural steel projects.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
• Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from start to finish.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, detailers, fabricators, and erection crews.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
• Track material procurement, fabrication, delivery, and erection progress.
• Monitor project costs and overall profitability.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to customers and internal teams.
• Identify and resolve project issues to keep work moving on schedule.
• Coordinate closely with the shop and field to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
• Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
