Job summary

gpac in Indianapolis seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex structural steel projects from award to completion. You will coordinate schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining client relationships and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in structural steel PM, can read shop drawings, and leads fabrication and erection projects to profitability with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of structural steel project management experience.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Experience managing projects from contract award through completion.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, detailing, material procurement, and erection processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from contract award through final completion.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with estimating, detailing, fabrication, procurement, field operations, and erection teams.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs, profitability, billing, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate material procurement and fabrication schedules.
• Identify and resolve project issues to keep work on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct project meetings and provide regular project updates.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Mentor and provide leadership to project engineers and junior project managers.
