Job summary

GPAC partners with a growing steel fabrication and erection firm seeking a skilled Steel Project Manager to oversee projects from award to installation.

The role focuses on coordinating between clients, engineers, detailers, fabrication teams, and field crews while managing timelines, budgets, and procurement. A strong background in structural steel and proficiency with Tekla/AutoCAD is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing steel fabrication or erection projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Proficient with project management software and construction tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of steel fabrication projects, including stairs, railings, catwalks, platforms.
• Coordinate between clients, engineers, detailers, fabrication teams, and field crews.
• Oversee timelines, budgets, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure alignment with scope.
• Maintain progress tracking and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with estimating and detailing for change orders.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance.
