Job summary

Integrity Trade Services is seeking a Structural Steel Project Manager for our manufacturing client in Indianapolis to oversee structural and miscellaneous steel projects from turnover through closeout. This role requires ownership of submittals, detailing coordination, purchasing, fabrication, scheduling, field activities, and change orders.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly with customers and internal teams, interprets contract documents, and manages schedules and costs to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience managing structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or commercial construction projects.
• Strong ability to interpret contracts, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work.
• Experience managing shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
• Familiarity with structural-steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership and make decisions with minimal direction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project-management software.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Tekla/EPM or comparable systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structural and miscellaneous steel projects from turnover through closeout.
• Serve as the central point of accountability for the project; manage submittals, detailing coordination, purchasing, fabrication, scheduling, field activities, change orders, billing, and closeout.
• Interpret contracts and manage project schedules; communicate with customers and internal teams to address issues.
• Coordinate internal and external detailers with current drawings, RFIs, addenda, and fabrication drawings.
• Coordinate purchasing, material releases, fabrication sequencing, and specialty items to meet delivery and erection requirements.
• Plan erection activities with field supervision, including manpower, equipment, and site access; resolve installation issues.
• Develop internal milestones for detailing, approvals, fabrication, delivery, and erection; monitor progress and address changes.
• Identify, price, submit, and track change orders; maintain cost records for labor, materials, and subcontractor work.
• Monitor project costs, profitability, billing, retainage, payment status, and change orders; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate project files and documentation; build relationships with customers, architects, engineers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Oversee all closeout activities, including punch lists, as-built docs, warranties, and final change-order reconciliation.
