Job summary

GPAC has partnered with a reputable and fast-growing steel fabrication and erection company that delivers high-quality structural and miscellaneous metal projects across commercial and industrial markets. Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Steel Project Manager to oversee projects from contract award through final installation.

This is a direct-hire position with a stable and well-respected company offering long-term career potential and a strong pipeline of upcoming work.

Qualifications

3+ years of project management experience in steel fabrication/erection.
Strong understanding of structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of structural and miscellaneous steel projects, including stairs, railings, catwalks, platforms.
Serve as primary contact between clients, engineers, detailers, fabrication teams, and field crews.
Oversee project timelines, budgets, material procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
Review project drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with scope and deliverables.
Track progress, resolve issues, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Coordinate with estimating and detailing teams for change orders and revisions.
Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
