Job summary

The Engineer will supervise assistants and interns, lead liaison with architects, subcontractors and owner representatives, and oversee submittals, shop drawings, and the close-out process. Strong communication and BIM skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ≥4 years of construction project experience.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with BIM and LEAN methodologies.
• Ability to read, understand contract documents and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors and Owner's Representatives.
• Oversee contract drawings and ensure relation to the estimate.
• Manage the project budget.
• Manage submittals and shop drawings.
• Negotiate Change Orders and analyze changes.
• Oversee the close-out process and prepare final records.
• Supervise Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns.
