Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to conduct critical analysis, provide input, and perform technical reviews for design-build and design-bid-build projects in the New York area.

The role requires a PE license, 4+ years of experience, and expertise with ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, and BIM tools. You will collaborate across geotechnical, architecture, and facade disciplines on on-site projects with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science from accredited Civil Engineering program (Structural) with 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (Structural) license required.
Experience across design and construction phases on diverse projects.
Strong structured thinking and clear verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

Perform technical reviews to assess constructability and optimize sequencing for structural work.
Review designs, contractual obligations, responsibilities, and deliverables.
Assess project documentation including drawings, specs, calculations, and shop drawings.
Analyze structural design elements for sufficiency and optimization opportunities.
Propose solutions for design optimization, risk management, and constructability improvements.
Guide project non-conformances and operational issues.
Document activities in reports, memoranda, and BIM-related tools.
