Job summary

Turner Construction Company in New York, NY seeks a Project Engineer to manage information essential for completing the project on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents. The engineer will supervise assistants, interns, and engineers and coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and Owner's Representatives on plan and specification issues.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with at least four years of related experience, plus strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience; strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Utilizes BIM and LEAN technologies.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors and owner representatives to resolve plan/spec issues.
• Oversee drawings and subcontract information; ensure alignment with the estimate.
• Manage the project budget.
• Coordinate submittals and shop drawings; assess conformance to specifications.
• Schedule and lead subcontractor coordination meetings and preconstruction sessions.
