Turner Construction Company in New York is seeking an Assistant Engineer to manage information necessary to construct the project on time and within budget, per contract documents. The Assistant Engineer has supervision over Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns and works with architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors and owner's representatives.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of two years' related experience.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Utilizes BIM and LEAN.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Acting as liaison with architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, Turner staff and owner's representatives to resolve plan/spec issues.
• Overseeing and making decisions related to contract drawings and subcontract information; ensure drawings relate to the estimate.
• Managing the project budget.
• Managing submittals and shop drawings; assess conformance to contract specs; resolve conflicts.
• Negotiating change orders; analyze changes; obtain approvals and estimates from subs/architect/owner.
• Overseeing the close-out process; prepare final records and ensure contract compliance.
• Supervising Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns; provide input on performance.
• Preparing scope of work documents for trades.
• Developing reports such as general conditions items, labor, safety, change order logs and quality control.
• Scheduling and managing subcontractor trade coordination meetings, preconstruction meetings and submittal review meetings.
