Job summary

STSI (Staffing Technical Services Inc.) seeks an experienced Structural Designer to support industrial and manufacturing facility projects nationwide. You will create accurate LOD 300 structural models and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure constructible designs.

The role enables 100% remote work with monthly trips to Austin, requiring overtime when deadlines loom and a strong focus on BIM content development, clash detection, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Structural Designer for building or industrial projects.
• 5+ years of experience with Revit Structural.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines.
• Multitask and adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and timelines.
• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a drafting certificate.
• Revizto experience or similar clash detection and model review platforms.
• Proficiency in developing BIM content, including families (parametric, formula-nested, and type catalogs).

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate LOD 300 structural models for Construction Documents (foundation, framing plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules).
• Coordinate structural modeling and assist with utility routing across disciplines.
• Integrate design input from vendors into the structural model while coordinating with other teams.
• Collaborate with BIM/CAD support using Navisworks, Revizto, and 3D laser scans for routing and clash detection.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and work overtime when needed.
