Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Structural Designer for one of their partnered clients open position:

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Support the design and construction of new projects and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing and office facilities.
2. Coordinate structural design on multidisciplinary project teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing (MEP) professionals.
3. Manage high-quality BIM (Revit) models, develop 3D engineering designs in Revit, and prepare plan drawings, section/elevations, installation details, and schedules for permit and construction.
4. Utilize and improve structural design standards by working with the BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results and incorporate new design into the existing facility models.
5. Assist with structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures.
6. Assist with the design of structural engineering solutions for existing building structure retrofits, design of equipment anchorages and assessment of existing site conditions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Minimum 2 years of civil/structural drafting for building or industrial projects, or equivalent.
2. Expert knowledge of Revit Structural and proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
3. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; prioritize and communicate assignments, and a willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines.
4. Able to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.
5. Self-directed, highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills.
