Job summary

CMTS LLC is seeking a QA/QC Technical Reviewer- Structural in Los Angeles, CA. This full-time, on-site role focuses on reviewing structural plans and specifications to ensure adherence to district standards and building codes.

You will guide design teams, evaluate substitutions, and provide technical input to OARs and A/E staff. The position requires a CA PE license, 10 years of structural experience in educational facilities, and strong communication and documentation skills to support quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field required; substitutions allowed for up to two years of educational requirement.
• Ten years of full-time professional experience in structural engineering for educational facilities.
• Valid California PE license.
• Knowledge of CBC, Cal Green Energy Code, OSHA, ASHRE, ASTM standards.
• Experience with district design guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical review of structural plans and specifications for compliance with standards and codes.
• Provide comments and recommendations to ensure quality, constructability, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Support development and maintenance of District design guidelines and standards.
• Review substitutions and deviations from District standards.
• Provide structural technical advice to OARs, Inspectors, and A/E teams.
