McMillen, Inc. in Portland, OR, is seeking a Senior Structural Project Manager with a strong technical background to deliver exceptional service to clients in dams, energy, fisheries, and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is a licensed PE and a proven Seller-Doer with 12+ years in water resources. You will lead multi-discipline teams, mentor engineers, pursue business development, and manage design and construction phases from feasibility through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree in structural engineering preferred.
• 15+ years of structural design experience in water resources.
• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager preferred.
• PE License required; SE License preferred; NCEES registration preferred.
• Familiarity with Federal Agencies and/or Public Utilities.
• Proficient knowledge of design codes and standards.
• Design-Build and/or Construction experience preferred.
• Experience with structural analysis software, seismic procedures.
• Experience with refurbishment, repairs, seismic upgrades of hydro facilities.
• Travel may be required (15%).
• Regular attendance and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the preparation of complete project documents from design development through construction.
• Evaluate and apply advanced structural design techniques to projects.
• Manage multi-discipline teams and supervise engineers and staff.
• Perform field investigations and review as-built plans to establish conditions.
• Identify project opportunities and assist with proposals for professional services.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for projects.
• Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
• Evaluate planning, design and construction support services.
