VHB is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager to lead bridge transportation projects in a hybrid work environment. You will plan, analyze, design, and detail major structures, mentor staff, and drive client relationships across the Boston area and beyond.

You will bring 11+ years of structural engineering experience, a PE license, and strong knowledge of MassDOT standards, along with proficiency in structural software such as AASHTOWare, LARSA 4D, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of structural engineering experience on bridge/transportation projects.
• PE license required and active in good standing.
• Experience completing transportation studies and design reports per AASHTO & MassDOT or other DOTs.
• Proven bridge design and detailing experience (steel, concrete, prestressed).
• Strong client relationship and business development capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, analysis, design, and detailing for major bridge projects.
• Mentor and direct technical staff; manage design plans and calculations.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and assist in project decisions on scope and costs.
• Manage project scheduling, budget, and quality control.
• Oversee reviews of plans, specifications, and reports to meet scope.
