Job summary
Dassault Systèmes in Waltham, MA is seeking a Structural Mechanics Consultant to act as a technical bridge between advanced simulation solutions and customers worldwide. You will deliver expert consulting, educate customers, and drive product excellence while leveraging multi-physics and AI-enabled workflows.
Travel to customer sites may be required. Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in engineering with 4–8 years experience (or PhD with 4+ years), expert in FEM/FEA, and proficient in Python
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering related to structural mechanics with 4–8 years of industry experience (or a PhD with 4+ years).
- Advanced knowledge of FEM/FEA techniques and nonlinear structural mechanics under static/dynamic loads.
- Proven experience with FEA software (Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, Dyna) and CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks).
- Coding skills in Python or C++ for automation of simulations.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- English fluency in writing and speaking; willingness to travel to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert consulting: run advanced simulations, develop custom extensions, and tailor methodologies for complex needs.
- Educate and mentor customers through high-level training sessions.
- Drive product excellence by assessing performance, validating requests, and troubleshooting simulation issues.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities during customer interactions.
- Continuously learn and apply new product features, multi-physics technologies, and industry workflows.
- Leverage AI to increase productivity and efficiency in simulations.
