Requirements include 3+ years in heavy industrial construction, NCCER Journeyman Ironworker certification, and matrix safety training.

Qualifications

• Three+ years as journeyman in heavy industrial construction
• Advanced knowledge of structural steel erection techniques and rigging standards
• Must hold or complete NCCER Journeyman Ironworker certification
• Must complete Matrix Service safety training and client/site training
• Must obtain and maintain DISA drug testing status

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and plan layout and rigging for structural steel erection
• Set up and oversee hoisting and rigging equipment safely
• Signal crane operators using standard hand/radio signals
• Position and align structural members using drift pins/ties
• Verify vertical/horizontal alignment with plumb/lasers
• Bolt, tack, or clamp members; finalize with welding or bolts
• Cut, burn, and weld steel for field modifications
• Identify safety hazards and enforce safety protocols
• Perform other job-related duties as directed
