Konecranes is seeking an experienced fitter/fabricator in Houston to interpret drawings, assemble steel crane components, and ensure first-pass quality. You will layout, fit, and weld complex structures, using precise measuring tools and fabrication equipment, while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires strong blueprint reading, 6+ years in fitting or structural assembly, and ability to work with heavy steel.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical, trade school, or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of fitting, fabrication, or structural assembly experience.
• Experience with heavy steel fabrications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret drawings and specs to determine fit-up and assembly requirements.
• Produce assemblies meeting drawing requirements and tolerances on first pass.
• Layout, measure, mark, and fit structural steel components.
• Assemble girders, end trucks, machinery platforms, and crane components.
• Perform fit-up and tack welding for final welding preparation.
• Verify dimensions and alignment throughout fabrication.
• Operate fabrication equipment and material handling safely.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety directives.
