Job summary

Konecranes is hiring a skilled welder/fabricator in Houston to assemble and weld structural steel for overhead cranes. You will read drawings, set up fixturing, and ensure high first-pass quality while adhering to safety standards.

Qualified candidates should have at least 6 years of welding experience, 3G/4G tests, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role includes benefits and on-site work with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical, trade school, or vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently layout, fit, assemble, tack, and weld structural steel components used in overhead crane manufacturing.
• Produce quality welds that meet drawings and inspection requirements on the first pass.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Layout and fit structural components while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
• Perform FCAW welding and support MIG and SAW processes as required.
