Job summary

Keel is seeking a fitter to assemble and align fabricated structural steel components per engineering drawings. You will plan fabrication sequences, interpret blueprints, and prepare assemblies for welding while maintaining quality and safety.

Responsibilities include layout, measurement, tool setup, and assisting welders. Team-based fabrication with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Lay out, fit, align, and assemble structural steel components.
• Prepare metal for welding and assist welders.
