Job summary
Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead the design and development of companywide structural steel coatings and fabrication processes for large commercial and industrial projects.
You will optimize structural element designs, improve shop efficiency, manage procurement, and help grow a skilled team while coordinating with estimating and preconstruction teams. Strong technical skills and leadership are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 10+ years of relevant experience in structural design and manufacturing.
- Advanced knowledge of building construction processes and components used at each construction stage.
- Strong understanding of trade detailing, design workflows and practices.
- Experience in applying problem-solving from pilot to company-wide adoption in construction technologies.
- Familiarity with Tekla, Pronest, SolidWorks, Cadworx or Plant 3D is a plus.
