Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to design mechanical structures and supports for industrial and commercial projects with local and national accounts. You will collaborate with Project Leaders and in-house design teams to develop designs and concepts and provide guidance when needed; site visits for verification are expected.

Candidates should have a B.S. in engineering, a Virginia PE (Structural) or SE license, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Active PE license in Virginia (Structural) or SE license preferred.
5+ years of structural industrial experience with crane/foundation focus preferred.
In-house work at Richmond, VA headquarters.

Responsibilities

Provide structural guidance during estimating toward proposals.
Review project scopes for code compliance (IBC, ACI, AISC).
Perform structural analysis/design for mechanical platforms, supports, and racks.
Prepare and stamp structural drawings, calculations, and specs.
Collaborate with architects, PMs, and other disciplines.
Oversee structural models in Revit and Tekla; coordinate with other groups.
Conduct shop/field site investigations as needed.
