Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks a Structural Associate Principal to lead structural consulting projects in the Mid-Atlantic Building Science & Infrastructure team. This client-facing role involves managing technical execution, budgeting, and mentoring junior staff across diverse facilities.

You will collaborate with owners, architects, and engineers while applying codes and standards to deliver high-quality repair and upgrade solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural), Architectural Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of related experience in structural consulting, including assessment, design, and/or forensic investigations.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee structural assessments, investigations, and repair design efforts.
Manage structural projects from initiation through closeout, including budgets and staffing.
Provide technical guidance on investigations, testing, design, and repair solutions.
Review reports, calculations, drawings, and deliverables for accuracy and quality.
Mentor junior staff and support day-to-day project execution.
Support business development and client communication on project findings.
