Job summary

Jacobs in the Northwest seeks a team-focused Structural Engineer to lead design and design/build projects for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations and conveyance systems.

You will develop project reports, calculations, construction drawings, and specifications with support from local and national experts, mentor staff, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams; a PE license is required, SE license or eligibility within six months is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a structural engineer.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Structural Engineer (S.E.), or eligible to obtain license within six months of hire.
• Bachelor’s in civil engineering with a structural emphasis; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years with municipal/industrial water & wastewater facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
• Alternative heavy civil (dams/hydro), industrial or mining experience considered.
• Construction phase support for listed projects.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Team oriented; able to mentor and work independently while managing time and budget.
• Experience with structural design/analysis software and office/review tools; U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project reports, calculations, construction drawings and specifications with local and national experts.
• Design facilities such as water/wastewater plants, pump stations and conveyance systems.
• Mentor staff and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes, client requirements and budget targets.
