Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer for our Northwest team. You will lead conventional design and design/build projects for water and wastewater facilities, developing technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications with support from local and national experts.

You will guide project teams, ensure multi-disciplinary collaboration, and drive construction phase support while mentoring others.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience as a structural engineer
PE license is required; SE license is preferred or eligible within six months
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with structural emphasis; master's degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience with municipal or industrial water/wastewater plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems
Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams
Experience with structural design and analysis software (STAAD.PRO, TEDDS, SAP2000, RAM Elements, RAM Structural System, Mathcad)
Experience with office programs (WORD, EXCEL, OneNote, Teams) and review software (Bluebeam)
U.S. Citizenship

Responsibilities

Lead development of project reports, calculations, construction drawings and technical specifications
Lead design and oversight of facilities such as water and wastewater pump stations and treatment facilities
Provide construction phase support and liaise with multi-disciplinary teams
Mentor junior staff and manage time and budget across projects
