Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a driven Process-Mechanical Engineer to join our water/wastewater team, delivering studies, designs, and field assignments. You will work with a core group of engineers and designers on projects locally in the Northwest and across the United States.

This role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s in engineering, and 8+ years of experience. You will develop P&IDs, construction documents, and provide permitting support while collaborating in a hybrid, office-plus-field environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with water/wastewater and/or industrial treatment.
• Strong interest in treatment and/or mechanical system design and operation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate pumping, treatment, and process options to determine best approaches.
• Develop facility layouts and P&IDs.
• Create construction documents including drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate and select process equipment, pumping systems, and valves.
• Provide data analysis and modeling and technical report writing.
