Job summary

SolveNow Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer - Substation to lead project teams delivering structural designs for a range of projects, including power and industrial facilities. You will guide design through all phases, adapt plans to budgets, and ensure client satisfaction.

The role requires expert knowledge of structural codes (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7), strong communication, mentoring, and the ability to travel for site work and client meetings. PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program with 7 years of structural engineering experience; EPC project experience preferred.
• Alternatively, Bachelor's in Structural or related Engineering Technology from ABET-accredited program, FE exam completed, and 7 years of experience; EPC project experience preferred.
• Or Master's Degree in Structural Engineering with 6 years of experience; EPC project experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures; strong knowledge of IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Prepare structural equipment specifications, data sheets, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, detailers, and designers.
• Develop schedules, scope, budget, staffing, and construction plans; manage change orders.
• Provide QA/QC and coordinate with field personnel to resolve design-related issues, calculations and testing of materials.
• Lead field inspections, measurements, or calculations for clients; present technical reports to clients and industry publications.
• Build relationships with clients, customers, and contractors; identify new business opportunities and lead cost proposals.
