Job summary

Stantec is seeking Intermediate and Senior Civil/Structural Engineers to support Substation Physical Electrical Teams. You will lead substation structural design efforts and coordinate with Physical Electrical teams across the US and internationally.

The role requires experience with 13kV to 500kV levels, AIS and GIS substations, and familiarity with IEEE and design codes. Strong leadership, planning, and client‑facing skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Registered PE preferred; NCEES Record desired.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in power delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of foundations, equipment support, rigid bus and enclosures.
• Perform QA/QC of structural engineering design packages.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to meet timelines.
• Allocate resources and track project man hours.
• Review and approve design drawings and calculations for substation packages.
• Coordinate with P&C team to produce station drawings.
• Attend client interactions and project status meetings.
• Participate in project planning and proposal development.
• Coordinate resources from offices across the US and internationally.
