Job summary

SolveNow Inc. in Austin seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer - Substation to lead electrical design from concept through final design, and to develop specifications, data sheets, RFQs, and bid evaluations for electrical equipment and packaged systems.

You will review vendor drawings, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, support project schedules and budgets, mentor junior engineers, ensure QA/QC, travel as needed, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree with 7+ years experience
• FE certification and EPC project experience preferred
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept to final design for substations
• Develop specs, data sheets, RFQs, and bid evaluations
• Review vendor drawings and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams
• Support project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and construction strategies
• Oversee QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables
• Travel to project sites as needed
