Job summary

SolveNow Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Substation Engineer to lead complex HV substation design projects, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers.

The role focuses on protection and control schemes, wiring, and compliance with design standards. You will coordinate with clients, vendors, and site teams, develop BOMs and equipment specs, and oversee budget and scheduling while supporting business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Proactively provides guidance on department design guides, standards, and codes.
• Develops protection and control design deliverables and equipment wiring.
• Oversees engineering calculations and data management for complex substations projects.
• Mentors junior team members and coordinates multi-discipline activities.
• Prepare specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors; lead design reviews and presentations.
• Manage design budgets and schedules; support business development activities.
