Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies seeks a Structural Engineering Professional for a 7+ month remote/hybrid role in the USA Northwest region. You will perform structural analysis and design, collaborate with the Structural Lead and designers, and help translate design concepts into documents and models.

Applicants should hold a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license, 10+ years of experience, and be proficient with US codes and design software.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer License (PE/PEng)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering
Proficient with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC
Proficient with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam
Proficient with designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred: MS degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering or SE license

Responsibilities

With little or no supervision, perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design
Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques
Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving, consult with others as needed
Lead or sub-lead on medium-sized projects with ownership of scope
Provide mentorship to designers/drafters and junior engineers
Advise on advancing workflows, systems, and tools within structural discipline
